To enhance the sites aim 'to increase awareness and understanding into this tremendously interesting animal', this page is added as an aid to teachers in educating their students/pupils about the wild boar we now share the countryside with.
If all goes to plan the page will contain a powerpoint presentation with accompanying notes that can be downloaded in a ready-to-deliver format. Ideally there will be presentations catering for primary school, secondary school and undergraduate level.
This page will increase in size as soon as I have the chance to write further presentations.
Presentation 1: The Wild Boar of Britain: Are they dangerous?
Highlights the public safety aspects of free-living wild boar by incorporating advice from DEFRA. Written for a primary school audience. To download the presentation, click on the title slide. To download accompanying brief student's notes, click on the descriptive slide.
Feedback on these first slide sets would be particularly welcome to allow improvement of content, and correction of typos, spelling or grammar! Please email mjgoulding@mjgoulding.freeserve.co.uk. or the site British Wild Boar. Thank-you.
